Manabu Torihara, a photography critic, introduced “Danca with Blanks” in the May issue of the photography magazine, CAPA.
A black-and-white snapshot of light and shadow with extreme prominence. There is a strong impact in the expression of metallic solidity. He seems to have stripped away as much of the superfluous stuff as possible, exposing the physiological sense. A book that should be savored more for its rhythm than for its photographic meaning.
