Autrement qu’être @PGI

Today, Tuesday 29 August, the solo exhibition “Autrement q’être” opens at PGI.

The exhibition is composed mainly of new works from recent years, but when taken together, the works are unexpectedly quiet and black, and together with the subjects photographed, there is a strong sense of the smell of death. However, I feel that this is a smell that is somehow close to life, far from negative connotations. I am proud that this is a good exhibition. Please come and see it in person.

During the exhibition, I will generally be at the gallery on Saturday afternoons, but please feel free to contact me even on weekdays for any requests, such as buying you a drink, buying works, signing photo book, or listening to your complaints.

To accompany the exhibition, we have also produced a photography book, “Autrement q’être”. This is my fourth book, named after Emmanuel Levinas’s book ‘Autrement q’être’. This time it is in soft cover, so the texture of the paper is pleasant as it rubs against your fingertips as you roll it up, and you can enjoy the pleasure of perusing it over and over again. The book will be on sale at the PGI shop for the time being. Buy it.
